welcome

Let's get you set up

Hearth & Row works best when the people on it are really who they say they are. It only takes a minute — a real name, a real address or farm, and a quick check.

step 1 of 4

How will you be using Hearth & Row?

Pick any that fit — plenty of people are neighbors and sellers at once.

I'm a neighbor
Connect with people nearby, borrow and barter, tend the garden, and buy from local farms.
I run a farm or ranch
List what you grow or raise and sell directly to people nearby — plus everything neighbors get too.
I sell other things
List handmade goods, baked goods, crafts, or anything else you make or sell directly to neighbors — plus everything neighbors get too.

Tell us a bit about you

This is what neighbors will see on your posts and profile.

Welcome to Hearth & Row

You're all set.

Hearth & Row

where neighbors grow
and look out
for each other

Meet your neighbors, share and trade within your community,
support local farms and sellers, and keep a good word moving.

What's happening nearby

Asks, offers, and everyday goings-on from people a few streets over.

The Community

Share what you have, trade what you don't need, and tend the garden together — with just enough structure that nobody has to wonder who owes who.

Borrow something and it comes with a return-by date, so nobody has to remember on their own or wonder if they're overstaying. Returning it takes one honest tap.

Neighbors offering a hand, freely — no hours tracked, no tab kept. Ask, and offer back when you're able.

Straight swaps between neighbors, no cash involved — this is separate from the farm marketplace.

One-directional — no swap, no return date. Give away what you don't need, or post what the food pantry could use, with the place, date, and time to drop off or pick up.

Some garden spaces are open to the whole neighborhood — no obligation to join. Others are smaller, invite-only spots an owner keeps to a few people on purpose. Ask if one looks interesting.

Straight from the source

Local farms and ranches selling direct — no middleman, just a pickup time.

The Good Word

A place to say thanks, notice effort, and pass along something kind — no likes, no arguing, just good word.
